Website Tips

This page is dedicated to giving web novices a little insight into how to use this website effectively. We've met several folks who follow along with us and they have asked that we include this page. If there is anything we haven't added or if you have a question you'd like answered here, please drop me a line.

All pictures can be clicked on to get to a larger size. Once you have clicked on a picture and it has gotten bigger, to go back to where you were, hit the back button on your web browser. This is usually in the top left corner of your browser window.

Also of note, if you let your mouse pointer sit over top of a picture, you will see that most pictures have inane little captions over them. Please try not to be offended.

To navigate this site effectively, you should use the horizontal menu bar seen at the top of every page on this site. The menu is the green bar with white text right under the Dream Catcher logo at the very top of this page. Do you see it?

The menu items read Home, Log, Boat, Crew, Equipment, Pictures, Tips, FAQ, Contact, Links, and Guestbook. Most of these should be self explanatory. When you put your mouse over a menu item, you will see the color of that menu item become pink. This means if you click now, that is where you will go.

Of particular interest on the menu, the Home item will always take you back to the main page of the website regardless of where you are. If you get lost in the site, click this entry and it will put you back at the beginning.

Also of note, is the Log entry. If you click on the Log item, you will be taken to the main Log page. From here you can select a month from the right hand side of the page and then you will se a list of all the log entries for that month. Clicking on one of these individual dates will take you to that log entry.

Once you are on an individual log entry, at the bottom of the page you will see a previous and next button. These buttons will take you to the next or prior log entry in time. Of course when you get to the most recent log, the next button will disappear because there is no next one yet.

To bookmark this site, go to the menu of your web browser and select Favorites/Add to Favorites, then click OK. This will put the Dream Catcher site in your personal list of favorite sites and will allow for easier access.
