When I was a working stiff, among other things I used to write software. It's always been a hobby and I still do
some programming on the side to stay current with emerging technologies.
The links on the right side of this page will take you to the individual software pages where you can obtain detailed
information about what each does as well as screen shots of the software in action.
Texas Hold-Em
During the 2006-2007 cruising season in Georgetown, me and several other cruisers started playing
Texas Hold-Em weekly up at the St. Francis Marina. In an effort to better my play, I wrote my own
implementation of game.
The download contains the setup file needed to install the game, but if you do not have Microsoft's .Net 2.0
framework installed, you will need to get from Microsoft. Don't worry, it's free and can be found here.
Flotsom
Flotsom is a tool that manages daily life on board your typical cruising vessel. We have been using it for the last
10 months to track things like our daily log entries, our expenses, engine maintanence records, fishing details,
contact management and even recipes. The idea was that we could have all this information in one easy to access
format that would minimize the time required to keep on top of things while cruising.
