Recipe: Tasty Dry Rub

We do a ton of grilling on Dream Catcher and this is our go to rub for everything from whole chickens, to pork shoulder to whole fish. It tastes good on just about any type of meat provided you don’t mind a bit of “kick” in the taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Just mix that shit together. If you have access to a Magic Bullet, it does a much better job of blending the spices than doing it by hand.

We're probably not going to make it out there till next season but when we do I'll bring you some of my favorite rub. It's a sweet and smoky rub that comes in a tub and it's so good I'll never make my own again!
