The mass exodus from G'town continues. I bet there aren't 150 boats here now. That may sound like a lot, but
keep in mind there were 450 here during the regatta. I think I like it better with fewer boats.
We've pretty much given up on trying to get out of here before my parents visit. The weather isn't cooperating
and we don't want to get stuck somewhere and miss their arrival.
We went into town today and got online. I confirmed various aspects of my parents travel arrangements and Amy
paid bills and surfed around. The vegetable boat unloaded this morning, so we stocked up on various supplies while we were
in town.
The wind was really up and the return dinghy ride was an extremely wet ordeal. At one point I got we hit a
wave hard enough to dislodge an avocado. The last I saw of him was when he bounced off my fore-head and disappeared
in to our wake. Farewell little green guy.
Back on the boat, we dried off and I went in for more of my ritualistic obsession of smacking volley balls
around. Jack and I managed to beat Juan and Ed 2 out of 3 games. Way to go team.
In the evening we had Kenny and Linda off of Lattitude over for pizza and cocktails. Long time readers will
remember Kenny and Linda from way back in our Fort Washington Marina days. We haven't seen them in almost 6 years,
but we bumped into them in town and they remembered us. Pretty small world.
Guests left around 6:45 and we were in bed by 7:30.

And we're back. Not sure what happened to yesterday, maybe there was a recall notice or something.
Anyhow, we moved the boat over to Kidd Cove this morning. A front is scheduled to push through at sundown and
we wanted to hide from the preceding westerlies. This front is well timed in that it coincides with the Friday
night happy hour and all night dancing at the Two Turtles. Odd don't you think?
With the boat safely anchored I crossed the harbour for more volley ball while Amy stayed aboard and surfed
the net. Later, back on the boat, I showered and we had the last of our fish for lunch. The front showed up right around
5 pm and just as advertised the wind went west then north west at about 25 knots.
Around 6 we headed into town and proceeded to spend the next 4 hours dancing and hanging out with friends at
the Two T's. I think Amy danced with every Bahamian male over 55 on the island.
Oh, for those of you keeping score at home, Jack and I won another 2 out of 3 today. The volley ball gods are
smiling upon us

I called my dad this morning and verified that he and mom are still coming. T-minus 6 days and counting.
Afterward, we moved the big boat back across the harbour to our spot off of the Queen's Dock at Hamburger Hill.
Amy did here yoga thing this morning while I played with the ferrets. Later we went to the beach and played a few
rounds of Kuub which I won handily.
Back on board we had visitors. Jim and his wife off of Zealous stopped by for the grand tour. They are switching
to a catamaran when they get back to the states, so I had told Jim he could come look at ours if he was interested.
They stayed for about an hour and we talked all things catamaran. For the record, if they buy a PDQ, I want a commission.
In the afternoon I played volley ball and Amy hung out on the beach at the Chat and Chill. We had a few beers
afterwards before returning home for dinner. Tonight we feasted on the last of the lobsters in our fridge.
ACCCCHHH ! Man the spears! We must find more lobster

Ah, Sunday, the day of rest.
Let's see, today seemed like a replay of many other days. Amy yoga-ed (?) in the morning and I played ball
in the afternoon. Hmm. I think we are falling into a rut here.
In the afternoon Mila and I listened to the Nascar race from Bristol Tennessee. It was one of the better races
of the season so far. Amy has sworn off sports after her Duke Blue Devils got knocked out of the NCAA tournament.
We snacked our way through dinner, so no meal was prepared. Other than that, not much to report

My volley ball friend Jack left this morning and I was panicked that my playing days might be through, but as
Free Bird left the harbour, Sequel returned and so now playing the part of Jack will be George. Follow that? Me
neither.
Actually Jack's dad has been trying to drag him out of the harbour to go do some exploring south of here. I
think they have been stuck here in G'town since December. Jack said not to worry, he'll be back in a few days.
Amy led the yoga group again this morning while I swatted balls. While we were off the boat, Mila and Milo
opened up a case of beer and proceeded to take all 24 cans out and hide them in different parts of the boat. They
did quite a good job and as such I now have only 22 cans in stock.
Amy says that ferrets may be smarter than the average beer drinker.
I made bread today and in return Amy made brownies. Dinner was fresh bruchetta and a nice bottle of wine.
It's a tough life, but somebody has to lead it

At some point in the middle of the night, the ferrets made a daring escape from their cage. I know this because
Mila started licking my ear around 2:30 am this morning. Thus awakened, I proceeded with the way to early running
of the ferrets.
Afterwards, I made blue berry waffles and the three of us (me, Mila and Lunch Box) watched a movie while we
ate. Half way through, around 4:30 am Milo and I fell asleep at the table so Mila watched the ending alone.
Amy woke up around 7 or so and found the three of us curled up at the salon table. She said my snoring woke
her, but I like to think it was Milo.
After the usual routine of volley ball and yoga, we busied ourselves around the boat doing our weekly house
cleaning. Around 5 pm we went over to Act III, a Peterson 44, that we had met last year in Charleston. Neal and
Elizabeth were having electric troubles back then and I helped them sort it out. We hadn't seen them since then
and it was nice to sit around and catch up.
We filled up on munchies and returned to the boat full and ready for bed. I doubled checked the door to the
ferret cage before turning in
