These guys are the Hungarians. We met them in a boat yard in Deale, Md where they were relaunching the sailing vessel Ilona.
Darryl (pronounced dar-e-ul) designed and built Ilona. He sailed her extensively throught Europe before taking her down
to the Carribean and working his way up to the Chesapeake.
Gabor and Gabor had sailed with Darryl before in Europe, so when he needed a crew to sail Ilona back to France via
the Azores, he contacted Gabor and Gabor. They in turn assembled Andrew and Jaba to help.
Darryl flew on ahead to the Azores on business and rejoined the crew for the leg to France. Amy and I
both enjoyed spending many hours with the Hungarians and we look forward to seeing them again someday.
