Don and Sandy on Anam Cara

Don and Sandy, on board Anam Cara, are the first cruising couple we really met in our own age group. We first ran across each other just south of Beaufort, South Carolina last fall enroute to the Bahamas and we traveled together off and on for most of the cruising season.

Don and Sandy quickly became our spear fishing companions as well. I like to make fun of Don about the lack of fish he catches and the number of sharks he attracts, but really they both did quite well fishing considering neither one had ever been before.

As of July 2006, they are currently in Norfolk, Virginia. The jury is still out one whether or not they will return to the Bahamas with us this fall, but we are hopeful. These guys made our second cruise south a lot more fun.
