Two days ago, we opted to sail down to Farmer's rather than stop at Black Point. A southerly wind was forecast for today and Black Point offers no real protection in it's anchorage from that direction, hence the diversion to Farmer's.
We anchored in our usual spot, just over the rocky bar that guards the Big Harbour anchorage. There were 5 other boats anchored nearby, but none had a shallow enough draft to join us inside the well protected anchorage, thus we ended up alone.
After arriving, we hung out on the boat until the early evening and then we went into town to visit with a couple of Bahamian friends we have that live here on Farmer's. We ended up splitting a bottle of rum and orange juice with several of them and spent an enjoyable two hours listening to stories about island life.
Today we stayed on board and dealt with boat chores. I changed engine oil and chased electrical gremlins in circles while Amy attacked pin old colonies with the help of the fat weasel. All and all a productive day.
Around 7 pm I made a tomato and sausage pizza for dinner. It was reported as being excellent and there were no leftovers. To bed with books and 2 of the 4 weasels by 9 pm.
Tomorrow we are planning on heading down to Georgetown. See you there....
